" Listening to what inspired Susan’s art was fascinating. She displayed a real delight and passion for the marine world and the desperate need for conservation of our seas. Her life story of scuba diving and then art, intertwined with her painting demonstration kept the audience spellbound. In her painting demonstration she gave clear explanations about her technique and how light, perspective and colour are different underwater. She turned to the audience when talking and so really engaged with them as well as moving around so that all could see the various stages of her work come to life.
